The Club welcomes Junior members from the age of 12.  For those new to the sport, we run ‘Learn to Row’ courses during the year.  Occasionally, if we are oversubscribed, there may be a waiting list in operation.  Applicants will get the chance to have one or more ‘taster’ sessions and, if rowing is for them, will be given coaching to a level that suits them.

Our objective is to instill an enjoyment of the sport and respect for other water users and the equipment.  Crews that show promise will be encouraged to race competitively.  The junior section at BBRC has had excellent results in regattas and Head Races at local, regional and national level.  We row at the weekends all year round and have various evening sessions on land, and on the water in the summer.

All Junior members must be members of British Rowing. The Club also welcomes attendant adults: help with the launching of boats and holding of stopwatches in coaching launches etc. is much appreciated.

If you are thinking of joining the club, please contact the Juniors Co-Ordinator to arrange an initial visit.

Details of membership fees and application forms can be found on the Membership page.
